It's over conor McGregor's career. At least that's what Khabib Nurmagomedov said, following the results and events in McGregor's most recent fight.
That's what Khabib Nurmagomedov said in an interview with ESPN. Khabib, who has so far retired from the UFC and has yet to show any signs of fighting again, initially highlighted McGregor's behavior specifically ahead of UFC 264 opponent Dustin Poirier last weekend. Also when Nurmagomedov and McGregor will duel at UFC 229 in October 2018.
"Money and fame show being who you are. We often hear money and fame change people. not. When money and fame come, those two things just show you the truth," Nurmagomedov said.
"And what has (McGregor) done? He hit an old man (in a bar in 2019). You can see his behavior and you'll understand. As Dustin said, 'this guy's a total ass****'."
"I saw a lot of tweets trying to give him support. How can you support someone like this? How can you take a book from your Lord? When a child, the younger generation, sees himself in this sport? If you want to promote your fight, just promote it (as usual."
Khabib Nurmagomedov also commented on Conor McGregor's TKO defeat to Dustin Poirier, following a broken leg in the UFC 264 ring, saying "good will always defeat evil." Not only that, now he believes McGregor is over.
"Without a broken leg, yes, (he can go back to the way he used to be). But with a broken leg, he will never be able to go back to the way he used to," he said.
"As for him, no, I don't believe (he will be able to return to the top). Conor's got a good age (32) but what's going on with his mind, with his legs, this guy's up. But he's still good for promotional events."
