Sell VR46 Team to Prince Arab, Rossi Get Rp 2.5 Trillion?

Valentino Rossi sold his team in MotoGP to the prince of Saudi Arabia. The selling value is estimated to reach trillions of rupiah if converted to Indonesian currency.

Rossi owns the Sky VR46 Avintia and Sky Racing VR46 teams. Both teams have been sold to Tanal Entertainment Sport &Media, a Saudi Arabian company owned by Prince Abdulaziz bin Abdullah bin Saud bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.

Later, Sky Racing VR46 changed its name to Aramco Racing Team VR46 and appeared in MotoGP 2022. Aramco Racing Team VR46 contracts in the highest class until 2026.

"In 2022 the VR46 team will make its debut in the MotoGP class along with Tanal Entertainment Sport &Media and Aramco, as the main sponsor for the period 2022-2026," tanal Entertainment Sport &Media's official statement said in April.

The outcome of the deal is of enormous value. Leaked, there are 170 million Euro or Rp 2.5 Trillion that will flow from Saudi Arabia to VR46.

The details are 20 million Euro or Rp 340 billion will be paid only for the privilege of sticking stickers of oil company Aramco in motoGP teams, Moto2, as well as in Moto3 races in CIV.

Another 150 million Euro (Rp 2.2 trillion), revealed by Il Sole 24 Ore media, will be ready for mass purchase of the entire VR46 group. The certainty of such figures can only be revealed in the next few weeks at an official press conference in Saudi Arabia.

Prince Abdullah bin Saud bin AbdulAziz Al Saud's interest is to support 'Saudi Vision 2030', a program that Saudi Arabia has been running for the past few years. Coverage is health, sports, education, and infrastructure without depending on petroleum sales.

Abdulaziz bin Abdullah Al Saud hopes rossi can continue racing next season to strengthen Aramco. On the other hand, the 42-year-old rider has yet to give a definitive statement regarding his future.

"It would be nice for me if Valentino Rossi wanted to compete for the next few years as an Aramco Racing Team VR46 driver with his younger brother, Luca Marini, who has competed this year," Abdulaziz bin Abdullah Al Saud reported from speedweek's website.
